Sheila passed away on Friday 5th March in The Orchards Nursing Home. She joined CBC in 2006 with her husband Alan. As well as being a very competitive bowler, Sheila organised many entertaining social events which were greatly enjoyed by the Club.

Kenneth Norman John Tapper

RIP
Ken passed away in February after a staunch battle against illness. His great skill as a bowler and his gentle manner, on and off the green, will be greatly missed, by all who had the pleasure to know him and bowl with him.

Freda Joan Cannons
1926-2021
Sadly, after a long ilness, Freda passed away with her husband and family around her,
Freda was delightful lady and avid bowler for the club. She and her husband Ron, arranged an Open Triples Competition at Crewkerne Bowls Club.
In 2013 Ron and Freda were made Honorary Life Members for their services to the Club. Our deepest condolences go out to Ron.

Susan Dupree
1946 - 2021
A delightful and keen Social Member, Susan quickly became a friend and a supporter of our Club. Susan died peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family on 27th February 2021 aged 75 years. Our deepest condolences go out to her loving husband, Bob.

Les Cornick
It is with sadness that we report the death of Les Cornick.
Les Cornick was a keen amateur sportsman who, enthusiastically took up the sport of Bowls. He joined Crewkerne Bowls Club in 2010 and played until 2014. He also played indoors at Donyatt showing great skill in both formats.Our deepest condolences are extended to his family/

Maurice Lane
1934 -2021
Maurice recently passed away surrounded by his loving family. He had been unable to bowl for a couple of years and in that time was greatly missed. `He was a most skilful 'drawer', both indoors and out. He was true gentleman and our commiserations go out to his family.

Ray [Raymond] Drayton
1937- 2021
Sad to report the death of Ray who passed away
peacefully on the 28th. November 2021. Ray was a
very keen bowler, indoor and out. He was a great
supporter of our club and even in recent years,
when bowling became difficult for him, he could
still be seen on the green sending down practice woods.

Kath.Williams 1931 - 2022
After a difficult year, sadly Kath passed away in Yeovil hospital at 6am, Wednesday 5th. January.
She was an ever present bowler in league and competition matches for 12 years. Kath played her last match for the club when 87years old. The Club sends condolences to her partner, fellow member, Jim Smith and her family.
RIP Ronald George Cannons 1928 - 2022 After a difficult year following the death of his dear wife Freda, Ron passed away on the 17th. June. Ron was major figures at the Club, serving as President for a number of years. In 2013 Ron was elected, along with Freda, Honorary Life Member. An amiable, gentleman who is greatly missed. |
